Sight I.D. ? Lyman? Marbles? Winchester

I have a Winchester Single shot with a tang sight of the Marbles or Lyman type...has stem with peep and a little pivoting piece that changes the large aperture of the peep to a small one.
I want to identify the manufacturer of the sight. It has no maker's name but has "Pat. Jan 29, 79 - May 8, 84"
Anyone know what this is? When it may have been manufactured?
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

  If no one is able to help you from your description, you might consider getting a book by Nick Stroebel, "Old Gunsights". It has many pictures and might be able to help you identify your sight.

  I don't have a way of doing a photo. I'm not much with computers I'm afraid. I appreciate your suggestion about Lyman #1 and I'll try to find a picture of one. Thanks!
