ruger 10/22 or 44

I have a bunch of ruger stocks that are not marked,,Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the 10/22 and the 44

  Yes, there are several subtle differences. I'm going from memory here, but it seems that the barrel contour on the .44 mag opens much quicker than the .22 does. Also, there's a slightly different shape around the top of the receiver around the ejection port as well as underneath around the magazine. The 10/22's magazine well is more squared off and the .44 mag is more rounded. Also, the .44 mag has the gas ports around the barrel unlike from the blowback action of the 10/22.
  
  Once you find a .44 mag stock the differences are subtle, but obvious.
