SECURITY SIX IN THE 150-SERIAL NUMBER RANGE
Just picked up a blued 4 inch Ruger Security Six that was made in 1973 according to the serial number. It has the old style frame with the 150-serial number prefix. Minor bluing wear at the muzzle and a fine line around the cylinder.Very tight and timing appears good.Factory wood grips with adjustable sights.I didn't pay any attention to the serial number till i got home.I have been looking for a 4 inch model for a long time.Looks like i need to start collecting the old model Security Sixes also.I bought it at a new gunshop in town.---$240 plus tax and a like new Triple K holster came with it.Also bought a Remington model 514 bolt action 22 for plinking.

I guess my question is,did i do good ?
I think a newer Security Six in this condition would be a good deal.So this one being a early one is a bonus to me.I won't be shooting this one much,so now i need to go and buy another one with a 4 inch barrel. EvilDr235
