Winchester 30-30 question, got the pics up now.
May have to sale this gem. Don't want to, but might have too. Could you experts give me an ideal of the value. Wouldn't mind knowing DOM. By the way this was handed down. The serial number is 207912x. -Model-94-30-30 WIN- -WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-

Manufactured 1954, has had sling studs added, exterior condition appears to be slightly better than average and assuming the bore and action to be good, retail in my shop would be between $295. to $325. 0 -
Needless to say, I'm not selling it. It worth much more to me than those figures. I'm not saying you'r wrong about the date, but my grandfather supposedly bought about 10 years before that date.

ginmaster: The year of manufacture is correct. I checked earlier. as far as the price, well that's the most common Md 94 out there (30-30). I can't really tell by the pictures, if it's the photo or the receiver, but it looks a little spotty. pre-64 Md 94s in 30-30 can go for $250-$450 depending where you are located in the US. On the net you will get the best price as opposed to running an ad in the local newspaper. For a 50 year old gun it's in nice shape. The sling stud in the stock hurts it's value some but not much. I agree with the year of manufacture.Sometimes family stories get blurry with the details. Too bad about those sling studs.I'm glad you're keeping it- its a great Heirloom!!!
Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob0 -
