best buy for .30 carbine

I have been looking to buy an M1 carbine, but dont know a lot about what manufacturer to go with or what prices I can expect to have to pay. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

  This is the Carbine Board from the Culver Shooting Forum. These gentlemen have great knowledge regarding the various versions ( Commercial/ Military ) of the M1 Carbine. Hopefully they will be able to offer you some guidance.
