M-14 for $70 great buy?
My friend recieved a Mini 14 for $70, it is in remarckable condition, I mean really nice, looks brand new, and the sights are dead on, did he get a great deal?

If he lost a zero on the end, it would be high, even with a folding stock, but current one's usually run from $400 to $550, depending on condition. NIB probably a little more. 0 -
I suggest your friend have the serial number checked out by law enforcement. If it is stolen, him calling to have it checked will keep him from being charged with being in possession of stolen property.
If it's not stolen, he got a GREAT DEAL!

I was thinking from a different viewpoint from Mark, one in which that firearm is prohibited by state law... geez, I didn't even think of the "stolen" angle, but it sounds dead-on.
The last time I bought a $70 gun, it needed $100 in parts, and I was left with a $50 gun..0
