    Just a little information, I can help you with.

    1), "E" "L" "G" is a common proofmark found on numerous Belgian made firearms.

    2), "H. Johnson" was a manufacturer and retailer of firearms and sporting goods, ( Great Western Gun Works ). This was during the late 19th Century

    Johnston, James H. - Owner operator of the Great Western Gun Works at Pittsburgh, Pa. Son of John H. Johnston. Born 1836; died about 1916. Learned the gunsmith trade under J. Senseny of Chambersburg, Pa.,Maker of Quality Firearms........
