Blue Wonder "Armadillo"
Just received my first package of Blue Wonder's Armadillo. Got the "buy 3 and get one free" deal so I can give a couple as gifts.
My question is this:
I keep my guns well lubed and covered with Remington Rem Oil for protection. Should I try to clean all of this lube off before applying the Armadillo and, if so, what is the best way to get it off?

What does the Instructions on the Bottle say to do?

There are no instructions on the bottle for cleaning off previous lubricants before applying the Armadillo. However, I just spoke with a man named Will at Novum Solutions and he developed these products. He said it should definitely be cleaned off first. He told me to use 0000 steel wool with the Blue Wonder gun cleaner. I told him that I am hesitant to use any kind of steel wool on my collector Pythons, and he told me that it would positively not harm them.

we stock and sell ARMADILLO MAGAZINE PASTE here at the shop. i used one of the first containers produced (a KEN NOVEM giveaway) on my own guns. i wipe the mags down with a SILICON cloth, and then apply the ARMADILLO. i like this product, and have had good luck with it. the first couple pkgs we sold were a bit dry and flakey.
we also carry the cleaner, and home bluing products.
we have also tried it out on household copper and brass. it does the job here as well.
very nice product.

I got some shotgun barrels in that were rusty I used 0000 steel wool and blue wonder cleaner and it works great.

That is an excellent idea. Be sure the patch is only moist and not wet. On interior surfaces it is not so important to "polish" it off. On the exterior, you want to polish or buff it off so that there is no residue (for looks).
Also, if the Armadillo has not yet dried up in the jar, you will not need to moisten the patch.

Just received my first shipment of Armadillo. I have heard enough about this product to be certain that I will be happy with it even before actually using it.

I have quite a few collector revolvers that are really nice 99+% and I will never shoot them. I was thinking of using a moist patch with Armadillo to actually coat the bore and the cylinder holes, and then use cotton brushes for the final polishing.
Would you recommend this as being a good thing to do for long term storage?
