Are You talking about the Enfield CRUCIFORM Blade of the Enfield No.4bayonet Mk1....? And the Scabbard is tapered....?
If So it was Officially adopted on 15 November 1939. In 1940 a Modified version was produced with a Screw Driver Tip and Designated the No.4 Mk. 11...The Mk 1 is becoming quite scarce...With the Scabbard I'd place a value of $65.00 to $85.00 on it.......

capt. kirk, this is not a blade, like the bowie blade, this is a 3 sided short spike, blood grooved on all three sides, has a sheath made of steel and looks like the typical #1 and # 4 spike sheath. there are about 20 of them and they got delivered with a large order of #1 and #4 enfields
indian---canadian--british---austrailian---and enfields from new zealand. the socket head of the spike has no markings, the 3 groves go all the way to the socket and the tip of the spike is pointed, not flat. all the info i have!!!

Evening Bill: Yep....I understand what you're saying...The Blade I discribed is still a Blade in Bayonet Terminology..You have what I discribed to You in my Posting.....There were FOUR Spike Bayonets...But Yours is Known as the CRUCIFORM Blade...Only Blade the Brits made like that for the Enfield Rifles of WW11...The other 3 were typical Spike Blades and had the Screw Driver Tips...If My reply is'nt what You want to hear....send Me your address and I'll send You a Photograph of all 4 Blades...Or better yet...see if you can locate a copy of Fred Stevens, Collector's Pictorial Book of Bayonets...of if You can find a Copy of My Book...A Journey with Bayonets...Been out of Print for almost 20 years...but still See a copy once in awhile.......
