CAS shooters help w/Ammo question

    There is no reason you cant use regular .38 spl ammo for your cowboy shooting.
    Its been my experience that the "Cowboy" marked ammo is more expensive than non-cowboy .38 and not really any better.

    I have shot factory CCI Blazer .38 in my revolvers for several years and it worked great. I also reload my own .38 spl for my handguns and .357 for my lever rifle.

    A friend of mine, Dennis Ming, AKA "China Camp" has actually had a cowboy round named after him. It is simply a .38 flat nosed lead bullet.

    As long as it;s under 1000 fps and LEAD, it,s fine.
    No below-the-casemouth wadcutters though...bullets must be flush with or above the mouth.
