Just Curious On Colt Walker
I just bought a Colt Walker Signature Series gun. I got a fair deal and it has a defect that I knew about berore I bought it. The brace, or whatever one calls it, that holds the lever in place broke in the hands of the previous owner. I am sending it back to Colt for repair but has anyone else experienced this or had repairs made? What should I look for? Thanks

Thats the nature of the beast! and the Reason Colt redesigned the Rammer Catch...Had one of those hummers once upon a time...had the same problem..Bought several Rammer Catchs from Dixie Gun Works and when it happened again....I had a spare....

Thanks Capt. Good advice. I am sending it to Colt and then sell it if I can.

Colt Blackpowder Company is out of business (they are now Henry Arms Co.) and Colt Firearms will not fix your Walker so don't send it to them. They'll just ship it right back to you because they didn't make it - they just licensed their name to Colt Blackpowder Co. for the Signature series guns.
You're best off to buy some new catches from Dixie Gun Works.
