    Yes indeed , I also own a marlin 336 RC in the 30-30 cal. , and I also have killed many a game (deer,boar,ect.) in the years past ...
    Dont remember what the "RC" on my means (I'LL have to look it up?),
    but a very good item in that caliber , just remember the limitations on this caliber and you will always be pleased ...Good Luck !!!!

    RC = Regular Carbine according to all I have ever heard. I have never seen such a reference in print though.
