Look a little closer at the model #, as Blue Book shows an 80B, an 808c,807ech,M60,M780,SB80A,SB30A,MO80 any number of which if the roll mark is faint/dirty/worn could leave a couple digits out. As most were made either by Savage/Stevens or Mossberg (any occasional rare Colt< don't get your hopes up), the listed price is usually 25 to 50% less than the actual makers price. If it's a nice, used utility type weapon, sharp, clean bore, nice overall condition, probably in the $40 to $70 range. If it strikes someone as "I had one as a kid" to "grampa always took me hunting with one" you might get a little more. Remember, with Wally World you can take your pick of very good new rifles, for under $200 and if on sale? 0 -

Hello,
I have a Wards Western Field Model 80, that can use either 22SL, or LR, that I need to sell and was wondering if anyone could give me a "ballpark" figure as to its worth. I have always keep the gun clean, & oiled, and in a case.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked all over the rifle, and can not see any other numbers, or letters. It is a model #80, nothing more. 0 -
You might look here on GB under Mossberg or Savage rifles and get a feel for older guns, try also under Montgomery ward. As I said before, it is more than likely a Savage or Mossy in disguise. If it works without hanging up and isn't all beat up/blue gone, ect., $55 would be a good start price. There just are a lot of these types out there, we probably all have or had one, as Sears and Wards were the go to places for thousands of parents and that first gun for a 12 year old. Not saying it isn't a good rifle, it's just that when you can go into Wally World and get a brand new Ruger for $179 (not sure of the current going rate)or less on sale, it sort of depresses the non collector market of utility type rifles. 0 -
acording to g.p.corp. cross reference this is a savage m-29. should be a .22 pump action rifle. if it works ok it is worth about $125 +- 0
