Anyone know were i could get a good deal on a fire proof gun safe? I don't want to spend more than $500. Thanks 0 -
They are made by Sportsman Safes in CA. Search the forum under "Sportsman Safes". I have one. I was lucky and the safe is what I expected. Others didn't do so well. Delivery was terrible - maybe 6 months. Customer service was out of a comic book.

You want to buy a safe made closer to hole, IMHO.
Personally, I'm happy with my Liberty safe.
(Yep, only ONE safe. Many of the guys have two or more).0 -
I'm with JSERG, my Liberty rules!

Where can I get a good safe at a working man's price, since I don't have much to store, anyways? 0 -
HOMAK (great, cheap, small, light)
try sportmans guide catalog...

Run from Pentagon aka. Sportsman, have a Liberty and a Heritage. Like both. 0 -
I've had a Treadlock for about 14 years now and I can't say anything but good about it. The only thing I would change is to get a second one--which just might happen before long. 0 -
east,
I have posted this before, but depending on the size you need wait until hunting season and go to Wal-Mart. They have Sentry safes for around $300. They are rather small but are not sheetmetal gun cabinets. The kids won't get into them! Heck I couldn't break into one! I have two and use them instead of my big safe for storage of items of lessor value.
Take a look - they might be just what you need.

I have a America Security holds up to 42 guns , is UL listed for Burglary, fire rated at less than 350 degrees for 30 minutes inside with outside temp of 1275, had it about 9 months now and so far really like it , it has 5 big 1" lugs down the side and 2 on top and botton ,
I purchased it from Gander Mountain, it was priced at $1495 but because it had been a floor model for some time I got a really good deal on it , out the door for just under a 1000 bucks [:D][:D]0 -
If you are near a COSCO store, they have Cannons, lined with electronic locks for $699.00. Nice safe. 0 -
I think the answer is to by one as close to where you live as possible. Walmart is a great idea. 0
