Blued finish on AWA Peacekeeper
Hi, all-
I just picked up a gently used American Western Arms Peacekeeper. It's a beautiful gun but there's a dull spot on the right side of the barrel about 1" long. It looks like maybe something spilled on it. There's no rust or damage but the rest of the barrel is bright and shiny except for this dull area and it's bugging me! Is there anything (wax, rubbing compound, etc.) I can rub on it to bring back the shine? Should I hand rub it or use a dremel tool? I'm afraid a dremel might leave swirl marks. I just want it to match the rest of the finish. Thanks!

I'm afraid that You will have to have the gun re-blued......Even if You could find a Bluing that was close to the color you seek....there will always be a slight differance...If it were mine...I'd just cold blue it and learn to live with it!
