Beretta Trap Gun, again
This older Beretta trap gun I asked about last week, marked Garcia on the barrel, marked MARK II on the receiver: It's got one choke tube with it, marked IM. Tube is 1.6" long, .790" across the threads, thread pattern something like .75 mm. Is this a custom tube, or did it come with the gun? Anyone know where I could get choke tubes for this gun? Brownell's doesn't seem to have anything like it.

I'm not much help on Beretta's, espec. older trap. If nothing else, I believe Briley will match your thread/tube size in whatever choke you want. Kolar and Seminole probably would as well, but Briley is the source for the odd/hard to find/impossible. 0 -
I believe your gun dates from the mid to late 70s, possibly the very early 80s. In as much that the only common screw in chokes were the WIN Winchoke and some of the upper end competition guns, (Perazzi for example) I suspect that yours was a custom installation. Assuming that the work was done in that time frame I would suspect that SIMMON'S GUN REPAIR of Olathe, Kansas did the work. They were "Boss Hoss" of the shotgun work at that time. They have a web site. Check them out. If memory serves, I believe the barrel on the Mark II was quite heavy (unlike the BL series of that era with extremely thin barrels)so just about any of the systems available at that time could be used.The screw in choke system didn't really get going until the feds shoved the steel shot thing up our butts in the late 80s.
