Benelli M3

Recently came across a used M3 for sale for $700. Is this gun legal for any joe off the street to buy, or is this just for law enforcement?

  Will super 90 vent rib field barrel work on a M3 benelli, thinking this might make a great waterfowl gun but not with 19" barrel and ghost sights.

  From everything I've seen/heard - no, but I've not actually tried it. I've got a SBE and I know some of the parts from the M1 and the SBE will interchange, but not the M3.
  So, I'm not sure but relatively sure enough to voice what I think... (take it for what it's worth). [:I]
