Civil War Medal

I was left a bunch of old tin box's as a inheritance. In one I found an original "Grand Army of the Republic" Medal. I understand that this was an "after the war" fraternal group. Also in the box was the original documnetation of the medal's issuance, the certificate that went with it and a letter. Any one out there know if it has value?
