Loading For 7 WSM

Anyone hand loaded for a 7 WSM? One of my hunting buddies bought one and wants to work up a hunting load(whitetail).I have always had accuracy problems with any 7mm over about 2900 or 3000 fps.I plan to use 140 grain Nosler Partitions.He wants around 3300 fps.Any suggestions?

  Our recipes for handloads aren't going to help your friend. The answer that is usually given is 'all rifles are different, start low and work up to an accurate load'. Accuracy should dominate his selection, not velocity. Picking a velocity merely limits him to a given bullet weight or potentially dangerous high pressure loads. I know that lots of people are fascinated with high velocity but it is not the ultimate goal for hunting loads. There aren't any shortcuts, unfortunately. He just has to start with some proven loads and work with his rifle and barrel.

  I agree that accuracy is number one in a load.I went through this with a 7mm-08, loaded it fast and shot all over the paper, slowed it down to about 2500 fps and had a sub MOA Steyr.
