best of 3 brands
i was wondering, as far as .22LR, which is better; winchester 9422, cz 452, or ruger 10/22. this rifle will be used for general fun, and may later have a scope mounted.

depends on what you want it for...accuracy...I would go with marlin or winchester as they are nearly the same. As far as goodies to make your rifle more fun...I would go with the 10/22. There is a website that can make a 10/22 an automatic gatling gun as well as hundreds of stocks and plenty of other accessories for it. My two cents

Without a doubt the best rifle you listed was the CZ. It had beautiful wood and bluing for the money. 10/22's and 9422's are fun, but not the most accurate rifles. If money is no object get either a Kimber or a Cooper.

I think the best "FUN" gun .22 would be the Ruger. Its inexpensive compared to the others and it can be tricked out with tons of great accessories. Also it is the only semi auto you listed which for most are considered more "fun" than a bolt or lever. Best part is she's under $200 which saves you $$ for ammo.

CZ gets my vote for doing the best at most with no aftermarket needed. If you add all the fun of aftermarket goodies then the 10/22!

I agree with thinman. The 10/22 is actually pretty accurate, you just have to adjust to the stiff trigger.My 9yr old daughter shoots 2" groups at 50yds. My groups are quite a bit tighter but Ive had alot more practice than her. I have no doubt that in the right hands the 10/22 can be a very accurate rifle.(its the trigger, get used to the trigger.)and then the 10/22 is your best bet.Thats my opinion.

For a fun gun that you can add all the gadgets to,go with the 10/22 For a more serious gun,I would go with the CZ.You will have fun either way.[^][^] 0
