Ruana Bowie Knife Prices

I am being offered a large Rudy Ruana 70's Bowie with wooden handle and brass pommel for $1,150. This is signed by Rudy and huge blade is 13". What do you think it is worth?

  Never had the Following that Randall Had...A buddy of mine carried a Ruana Bowie on His Parachute Harness with a 9" Blade and was happy as a clam with it...I carried a Randall Myself and found that a 7" Blade was the best for Hanging on the Harness...A few of the Rangers I knew in NAM all liked the Blades at under 8 inchs and that was for the ease of getting to it and getting it pulled for Action...anything longer was a detriment in tight quarters, and did'nt command the Value that the Shorter Blades Did and Do...I'm not knocking the RUANA Blade, but in My opinion its only gonna be a Wall Hanger...Its to big to be a handy Knife in a Hostile situation..and $1,150.00 is To Much to pay....Maybe $500.00 to someone in need of this Baby Sword....but its whatever You're willing to pay.....Its Your Choice.......
