TAURUS PT945 RECOIL BUFFER?

Does anyone know if they make, or who makes a recoil buffer for the Taurus PT945? Or is one needed once a spring "Tune-Up" kit is installed? Recommendations, suggestion, comments......?

    Hello just my 2 cents worth but I don't like recoil buffers for 2 reasons on any pistol that doesn't come factory with them.I have 2 reasons # 1 the seem to fall apart at the worst time & can jam up the gun #2 they keep the slide from going all the way back by the thickness of the buffer This causes 2 problems the slide should go back all the way to be able to pick up the next round in the mag and needs time after the front face of the breach clears the base of case for the case to rise and be striped and chambered the slide stop also needs time for the mag follower to push it up to hold the slide open after last round. a better choice would be to match your load to recoil spring or match the recoil spring to your load. quote:"PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

    I appreciate the 2 cents...I am new to the thought of recoil buffers in general. I now have a little more knowledge and food for thought than I did before. By no means do I know everything, and I am always willing to learn. Thanks for the thoughts Perry.

    Thanks for your willingness & open mind. I have been shooting BULLS_EYE for 40 years. On a semiauto type pistol recoil comes in many forms there is a fine balance between the slide not completeing it's full stroke and that of one slaming into the frame at the end of the stroke with lots of energy left. Factory pistols have to compromise. I have a colt target pistol with over 125,000 rounds thru it on 3 barrels the slide has been tighten twice .The long life of this pistol I believe comes from matching gun to the load . even with a non bulls-eye gun you can do this 2 ways if you shoot factory loads pick one and then buy an assortment of recoil springs start with factory spring then load 1 round fire gun slide should stay back. put in one spring at a time each heavyier then when the slide does not stay back you have reached the point were you need to go to one step weaker.Second way is to reload with factory spring and reduce load one step at a time untill you get the same type of failure. This will be the point that the gun works the pistol is not being beat up and recoil is the lightest. Hope this make fur happy shooting
