Carpati 9x18
Just saw a picture one of these Cartati's 9x18 made in Romania. Have never heard of them. Would they be a reliable CHL pistol? Appreciate your comments and info. Thanks, tech

I do like the cartridge, but have had less than fuzzy thoughts regarding the Carpati. The few I have shot have been none too accurate and the DA pull is just atrocious. Have also seen more than a few failures to feed. In that caliber, and for the money, I would go for theMakarov, although it is a much larger gun and thus a triffle harder to conceal. For my money, I would be looking at the Polish PA 64. About the sae sive and in my book a much better made weapon. I have shot several of these recently and seen nothing that I would consider less than satisfactory about them.

Thanks 1KYDSTR, for the reply. It was a new one to me. Just wanted something smaller than the Makarov. I did try the trigger pull on the Polish Walther look-alike 9x18 and it felt like 25 lbs trigger pull at least. tech 0
