The gun must be shipped from a Canadian licensed dealer or gunsmith to an FFL holder in your home state, and requires a BATF form 6, "permission to import". You or your FFL fill this out with details of sender, reciever, and firearm description, serial#, etc, submit to BATF, they approve and return it to you or FFL, you send it to Canadian shipper, who can then ship to FFL. Best to find an FFL who has been through it before or enjoys wading through paperwork, and be prepared to wait for Batf to return the form 6. Have patience.

If that rifle was made in 1936 it it C&R eligible. $30 and you can import it yourself for your collection.
