Need a good 1911 Gunsmith Portland Oregon

Anyone know of a good 1911 smith in the Portland Oregon area? For most 1911's any will do, but have a Gold Cup, Army accurized 45 in need of a sear replacement, and dont want the trigger pull or accuracy messed up by an amateur.

    I don't know any on the west coast But can give you some out here on east coast if you have to ship . Come on out to CAMP PERRY go to small arms fireing school and get it fixed while you are there GUN SMITHS SET up shop at Perry and know what they are doing.Second go to brownell and get a HIGH GRADE drop in set.SOME of them are quite good. are you sure it is not the 3 fingered spring that is weak? quote: "PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

    Mike Knifong is pretty good, he worked over my colt and does some LEO guns in the area he lives in Beaverton. Works out of his house, reasonable prices. Solid guy you should talk to.

    Perry, I have no doubt my dad had this gun accurized while at Camp Perry many years ago. However, a trek myself to Ohio is not in the immediate future. Can you give me more info on who/where if I decide to ship it?

    If you want to widen your search, type in new information on the left side.


    Get on the computer, use a good search engine and find 'yellow page' listings for the area that you need information. Even if someone does suggest a gunsmith to you, you are still going to have to do some research to see if they fit your needs. There has to be a bunch of gunsmiths up there. Call the local shooting ranges or gun stores to see if they have a list or know of someone that specializes in 1911's. The very best 'smiths have long waiting lists, also.
