Cobray Terminator shotgun ?

Has anyone out there ever seen or know anything about a Cobray Terminator 12 guage? Do they fire from an open bolt? Did they make ANY of them? Thanks for the info, if there is any!

    According to the Firearms catalog, yes it fires from the open bolt position...The codked bolt is released to slam home on the shell when the trigger is pulled...The 18' barrel is cylinder bored..There is a telescoping wire stock and the finish is parkerized.. comes in singles shot 12 or 20 gauge. Mft in 1986-1988 only...

    Thanks, Roses, for the info. It's a radical looking shotgun, but I can't imagine what it's intended use was when Cobray built them. They are so well known for high capacity guns, I'm surprised they would mess with a single shot.

    They made it because it was cheap and they had plenty of parts laying around to use..barrels were to have been used on the aTCHISSON aSSAULT 12 sHOTGUN THAT NEVER WENT PAST PRE PRODUCTION..

    Thanks, PREBAN, for the info. That explains a lot to me. I guess "rare" is not always a positive thing. Kinda like Ford Pintos are "rare".

    In the real world rare applies to the way a steak can be ordered, on the internet rare applies to almost every item for sale on ebay..at least thats what the sellers all say..ever want to see abuse of the term MINT..look at eBay..

    BlackRoses is correct. It sold for $60.00 wholesale. I purchased mine new back in the mid eighties and had to send it back after I first got it because it would not extract the spent shell casing from the chamber. To this day, if I shoot high brass shells, I have to poke the casing out with a stick. Low brass, no problem.
