S&W Model 10-7 DOB Request:
I am very pleased to be a new member of this forum. I find the forum to be informative and full of interesting ideas and topics. Coincidently, I recently purchased a S&W Model 10-7 mint condition revolver from a dealer off this internet websight. I believe I got a good deal in the process. I would like to respectfully request some information with regard to the date of manufacture on this handgun. It is a S&W Model 10-7 4" blued revolver, pinned barrel, Bangar Punta. The serial number is: 8D374**. I would highly appreciate any help in this matter, as I would like the DOB for my records on this newest addition to my S&W family. Thank you very much, ChicagoGun.

It appears that your revolver was made in 1981.
If your mainly interested in collecting S & W firearms, I would hightly recommend the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" by Supica & Nahas. That is were I obtained, the above information.
