nylon 66

kdmranch
what is a remington nylon 66 worth? it had the black plastic stock and chrome barrel and receiver + bushnell 4x scope. I would say it was 92%-93%. it sold for $150. good or bad deal?

    If there's a plastics shop in your area; ask them what they use to remove scratches from Zytel or Plexiglas. I used to know the name of the goop I used about 15 years ago; but time hasn't been too kind to my long-term memory (musta been the fumes).

    there is a scratch removeing coupound made for removing scratches from goggles'facesheilds...seen it at motorcycle shops but the name escapes me...sorry..[:)]

    Call Dr. Dashboard or Dr. Vinyll. I'm sure they would do it, and it would look good for very cheap.

    Semichrome should work fine. I use it to remove scratches from watch crystals and other plastic materials. It is probably what dennisjohnson is refering to. It is available at motorcycle shops and antique store. It is usually cheaper at the motorcycle shops. I would buff it by hand with a piece of soft towel.

    Novus#2 is made for polishing scratches out of faceshields and windshields on motorcycles. It is an extremely mild abrasive. Also Mother's makes a similar product.

    I put my two cents in, but it's only a penny for my thoughts....someone's making a penny.
