Remington model 29
I have just picked up a 12 gauge remington model 29 with a 32" barrel in about 90% condition and can not find much info on this gun. I would appreciate any info about history, value and serial number sequence of the gun. Thanks

Since no one has replied I'll give you my observations. First of all, they were made in very small numbers because they had the misfortune of coming out near the depression(1929) I think they were dropped in 1934. They had to compete with the M-12 Winchester and previous 1917 Remington pumps. The Model 31 Remington is a much better gun and it arrived in the 30's. NOW, your gun has a 32" barrel and that is good plus!! I've seen some awesome turkey shoot winnings with long barreled 29's and they are sought after for that. If yours is truly 90% and NOT a re-blue then I'd say it's in the $500 plus range although it's a small group of collectors that want them. No offense, but I'm betting it was re-blued. Good luck! 0
