Garands in CA

Are there any special restrictions on selling/shipping Garands made before 1959 (aka eligible for C&R in most parts) to an FFL in CA?

  The Garand is not labeled an assault weapon in Cali and has no flash hider.
  
  There are no restrictions that I am aware of.
  
  On 1 January 2005 it will be illegal to ship a C&R firearm to a C&R holder in Cali under the Steinburg Amendment. It must go to a dealers FFL then.
