Colt 1961 Civil War Centennial

Hi, all - In 1961, Colt offered a cheap "Civil War Centennial" pistol that looked like a small 1860 Army. The cylinder didn't turn but it was a single shot .22 short. Does someone know specifically how it loaded and fired? A guy has one for sale on the internet as a "non-gun" and doesn't believe it's real. I've never owned one so I want to tell him how it loads to prove to him it is a real handgun. Thanks! - "Spider"

  The cylinder is removed, the bullet inserted, & the cylinder is put back in the gun. It can then be cocked & fired. I don't recall exactly how the cylinder is retained.
  
  But, convincing the seller will be a lot easier if you refer him to the C&R list; this gun is listed.

  That's right - now I remember. I just haven't seen one in a long time. The barrel wedge is removed, which holds the cylinder in place. Thanks, Neal!
