1847 Colt Signature Series

If I can get to the person first I have a chance to buy a Colt 1847 signature series in original box and all. Plus an 1858 Remington (unknown details). Colt I looked up on google and seems like they are selling in the $700-900 range. Anyone give me any clues as to buy. Value, what to look for, and so forth? Was told like new with papers.

  Should have looked on GB first. 3 are listed. Makes up my mind. $500 not a bad price and think he will come down some.
