Does anyone do gunsmithing work on a Rem 7600

Do you know of anyone doing gunsmithing on a remington 7600?
PLEASE do not suggest remington: they won't!

I have project I'd like to propose for my rifle...

I'd like a stainless heavier contour ( a little large than this current factory barrel) barrel installed.

    I have inquired as to re-barreling and re-boreing the barrels on the 760 and the 7600. Major gunsmiths of impecable reuation have said not no but hell no. The big problem is the lug on the barrel that attaches it to the receiver. To get what I wanted I had to change course and come at it from another direction.

    Hi, Michael. The 7600 is a lower end rifle to start with and, because of that, you will likely have a difficult time finding after market stuff for it. And, if you can find anything, it may cost more to have it installed than buying another rifle.
