Belgium Browning Light 12 value
I've got a Belgium Light 12 that I bought new in 1961. It has a 28" modified barrel with the raised vent rib. In 1969 it was re-blued and the stock re-finished (beautiful). I didn't know then that it might be more valuable if I left it original. It just had some blue wear and stock scratches from quail hunting in briars. In 1970 it was disasembled, oiled down and stored in a silicone sock. Other than taking it out about once a year and oiling it down, it was not fired from 1970 until this year. I cleaned it this year and shot a couple of rounds of skeet. It functions flawlessly. As it is now, I would say the blue is 98%+ and the stock 96%+. What's it worth? Thanks.

If Browning reblued and refinished, then I don't see much hurt to value. If obvious and done by a non-professional, then it's a different story.
Light 12's are more shooters than anything else. Being Belgian helps, but there are just so many of these pieces around.
Value is quite regional. Southern NY / Northern PA prices might be expected to run about $800.00. The same gun in Sweet 16 would easily add 50% to that price. The refinish job could be of almost no consequence to a demerit of perhaps $200.00.
I'd have to class your Light 12 as a very nice shooter. That puts it out of collector status.

In NM they are in the $300-$500 depending on some variables. I bought one last week for $300 plus tax ($320.82).

I have several light 12 shotguns and I would say 500.00 max I purchased a light 12 at a local gun auction it is a 99 % super nice for 190.00 plus tax so around 205.00 just takes the right buyer 0
