My H&R Handy Rifle in 30-06 hasn't had any ejection problem, course I've only shot it about a dozen times.I haven't put the scope on it yet,so accuracy is unknown. As far as time required for getting the new bbl.goes,I think they say 6-8 weeks, but I know folks that got them back sooner.

    Go to:
    http://www.hr1871.com/
for all the poop on their "Barrel Accessory Program".

I'll be sending mine in for the .223 Bull as soon as I get my "Mad Money" built back up.

As far as the Mossberg goes, the one that I looked at was VERY HEAVY!!
9-10 lbs.as I recall, and much more expensive, but I understand that the prices are dropping on them.

    Good luck,
    BW

IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.

THE EXTRACTION PROBLEM IS THAT ABOUT EVERY TEN ROUNDS OR SO THE EJECTOR WILL NOT PULL THE CASING OUT OF THE CHAMBER. A CLEANING ROD IS NEEDED TO PUSH THE EMPTY OUT. IT HAPPENS WITH BOTH THE.223 AND THE .243. AND I'VE TALKED TO SEVERAL HANDI-RIFLE OWNERS AND THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING EXCEPT ONE GUY WITH A .22 HORNET AND HE ALSO CLAMES GREAT ACCURACY! AS FAR AS THE TIME THAT IT TAKES TO GET ONE BACK FROM THE FACTORY, I GOT MINE BACK IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. IT ALL HINGES ON THEIR PRODUCTION, IF YOU REQUEST A .243 AND THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE PRODUCING AT THE TIME, AS WAS THE CASE WITH MINE, IT'S QUICK.
THANKS FOR THE REPLYS, AND I'D LIKE TO HEAR MORE ON THE MOSSBERG ACCURACY.[:)]
