How long does a Class III Transfer take
Once I put out the paperwork to transfer a machinegun, how long does it usually take for the paperwork to be cleared by the ATF and FBI?

The transfers I have seen come through the shop take from six months to two years, so don't hold your breath, and good luck, I hope yours is one of the quick ones...

Mine have been 4-6 months. What surprised me is I figured after the first one, they would come more quickly. Not so.

If a transfer takes more than 3 months their is a problem. Some take as little as 4 weeks. 0
