m-1 ? (Mark C.?)

I just received another m-1 fron the CMP, h&r (#4695014) with a lmr barrel (1-55). just wondering if this is the correct barrel. my other h&r is so far back in the closet this is easyer. thanks

  It's not likely that your barrel is original. Most HRA rifles have HRA barrels, although some LMR barrels were used in the mid-5M block.
  
  However, LMR barrels are considered to be the finest, most accurate, M1 barrels, so you need not be disappointed.

  wait till you shoot it...
  if the LMR BBL (LINE MATERIAL COMPANY, AL) is in good shape (TE under 4, little muzzle wear) you probably have a tack driver in your hands. in my opinion LMR BBL`s are better than DUTCH V or NATIONAL MATCH BL`s (assuming comparable condition). they are more accuratte, and better made.
  
  my GARAND sports a 1953 LMR BBL with perfect muzzle, and a TE well under 2. it is superb, and accurate. i prefer these BBL`s, and they have quite a following.
  
  i agree, its probably not the original BBL.

  thanks guys, i didn't know if h&r used other mgfs. barrels. this is just a shooter ($315.00 from the cmp).
