Full length resizing of pistol brass
I bought an aftermarket barrel for my Glock .40 and it has tighter tolerances, so some of the once-fired brass I have won't chamber. My current dies (Dillon and Hornady) don't really resize all the way down to the base. Any suggestions? Thx much in advance ...

Pick up another sizing die, and remove enough metal from the mouth end to remove most of the lead in radius/taper. This will require you to be more careful of shell centering, but will size closer to the base (effectlivy your making a custom "small base" die).
The Dillon die has a large radius/taper to allow higher opperation speeds with out regard to alignment.
Your other choice would be get some new brass for your new barrel, and reserve your existing brass for your origional glock barrel.
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.0 -

remember that 40cal glocks have an unsupported chamber so the use of reloads is discouraged.
you may wind up stressing or work-hardening the base of your brass where the unsupported chamber has allowed the brass to swell, which could lead to a split case or injury.

I CONCUR WITH GUNNUT 505 . If you are having trouble with how far the dies go toward the head of case something is WRONG. You did not state if the once fired cases came from your gun .If they came from another pistol it might be ok to use them but if they came out of your pistol I I would look VERY VERY close at this barrel's feed ramp the head of a pistol round should NEVER expand I bet the barrel is defective. Same frame & slide, different barrel and chamber.
The Glock chambers tend to be slightly loose, for maximum combat reliabilty (also the reason for the large feedramp), this is (from my understanding of his post) where the first firing took place.
As far as Kabooms go, most have been directly traced to reloaders trying to hotrod the 40, along with a possiable few that were caused by the pistol firing slightly out of battary.

Turban, it's easy to find out if your barrel is of the supported or unsupported type; remove the barrel and insert a dummy cartridge.
If you can see more brass than the extractor needs to grab; it's unsupported (meaning the chamber has an area milled out that exposes the case base forward of the head & rim).
If the case fits flush, with an even delineation of the rim and not much more; it's a fully supported chamber, and you'll need to try the homemade small base die thing.
