flashlight gun ???any info & german 98 maurser
My wifes grandfather has a wierd gun its a flashlight about 9" long and is silver
the lens on the front is a huge concave shape and is about 2" in diaminter
there is no name on it and it comes with the original leather sack it goes in
it fires a single shot 22 short from the rear and the light still works and the small pistol part is also functional it has prob about a 1" barrel
The story he told me was he recieved it from a judge in the 30's
his father was a good friend and when he retiared he passed it onto his father then to my wifes grandfather
Im not sure of the flashlight or if its a custom 1 off, ive seen the cane guns and such but this light is the 1st ive ever seen
anyone with any info please respond its a pretty neet piece
Now he also has a prectine german 98 in 8mm it has all the markings of the german army
it was sent back home to him in WW2 there are 4 of these rifles in the family sent home by the brother the markings were never taken from the rifles so they made it out before the defacing i would also like to know more about when the defacing accured and the value of the guns explained
info if anyone has any
thanks chris

Can't help you with the flashlight.
As far as the German rifles are concerned, your going to have give us a precise description of all the markings, along with the physical characteristics of the rifles OR provide quality photos, if you want us to help you identify them.

Arae's defense made a small run of flashlight guns out of Mag lights. The small 2 AA lights were converted to .380 I think, and the 3C flashlights were .410 shotguns. These are classified as AOW's and need to be registered with the ATF. 0 -
