Smith & Wesson SW-40C Sigma
I bought a Sigma SW-40C in .40 S&W yesterday used and am wondering what anyone can tell me about this pistol. Its my first Smith & Wesson and it seems to shoot fine and fairly accurate but it didnt come with a box and no one at the store knew the history of it so I dont know how much it has been fired. It also has Trijicon night sites and I paid $300.00 used. Also am wondering if anyone could possibly tell me what year it was manufactured and if I can still get mags that allow more than 10 rounds.Thank you for any help in advance.

The only thing I can help you with is the approximate date of manufacture. The B B notes that the 40C was only made between 1996 & 1998.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
SW-40C's a good pistols, DAO trigger is a little long for my preferences, but that's just me.
$300 price w/ night sights is reasonable.
If the pistol don't show much in the way of slide and barrel wear your gun is probably in good shape, but, if you have any concerns bet a gunsmith to check it over. Most will do it for $25-30, some even less.
You should be able to get either a printed manual, or an electronic one in ".pdf" format from Smith. Log on to their web site and call the number given for their service dept. unless there is a link to manuals on the site (I don't remember).
Magazines over 10 rnds. .. I believe this model pistol was mfg. post-ban so unless the law "sunsets" this fall the only mages would be LEO and folks that are not in law enforcement can not legally own them. Hope this helps some.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0
