Ouch 65 bucks when you can get a good carry handle for under 50 :( check out my thread where im building my first AR-15 http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=112400 I went flat top with carry handle the one I got for 45 is really nice it has the 2 apatures just like that Cavalaryarms sight and has windage and range adjustments.

I'm not sure which carry handles you are looking at but some rear sights have apatures that are on the same plane. Meaning, that there is no difference in elevation from large or small apature. That would increase the price some.

As a follow-up to my question.

In reading the AR15.com forums a couple of threads said that the cheaper carry handles are made from extruded aluminum and that the adjustment knob for the windage and elevation did not perform satisfactorily. Their recommendation was to obtain a carry handle that was forged.

I can see where a handle that has flip up, large and small aperatures would have more machined parts and be more expensive. However I am budget conscious and do not like to spend any more than is required.

On the other hand I am willing to spend as much as needed to get quality weapons.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have a scope, what is the need for a carry handle? Just grab the rifle around the delta ring and go. If you want Back-up Iron Sights (BUIS) look at some of the flip-up options. If the rifle already has the front sight, you only need the rear.
