How do you tell if a Browning Auto 5 was made in Japan from one made a Belgian Browning? Is one a better shooter? Is the Belgian worth more than the Japanese? Any info would be helpful. Do you any websites with info on this subject?

    Hello light12,

To answer your questions completely... yes, your A5 was manufactured in 1972, and yes, the serial number prefix will determine if it was Belgian or Miroku made. 1976 is the year that production actually moved to Miroku (Perry shooter is off by one year).

Daffyhunter... I see that you are now resorting to petty attacks... please keep it up so that everyone else can see what a maroon you really are (it should also help you out immensely on the auction side of GB too[}:)]).
