Changing barrel

I have a Colt Trooper Mark III that I am going to replace the
barrel with a new barrel... Is this something that I need a
gunsmith to do or can I do it myself.

If I can accomplish this myself, is there some information available
on the Web as to the procedure to follow..

  you can do this yourself if... you have a metal lathe, barrel vise, action wrench, much experience
