    steve! welcome to my board! ive been hanging out here for years. you found me! ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce one of the finest men ive ever known. steve steven. retired naval officer, member navy rifle pistol team, subject matter expert in small arms and military rifles, master gunsmith, match shooter, distinguished medal holder, secretary and administrator to the east coast atlantic fleet military matches, u.s. navy. point of contact for www.usnst.org., and the list goes on. you are all very blessed to have this man with us. if steve cant answer it, no one can. he has built and fixed ALL my match rifles and pistols. he can tear a hi standard down in his sleep. there isnt a military (or any gun) he cant fix. that includes garands and the like. he knows all the contacts and ways around the DCM program. if he coughs, you better write it down. ok, ok...so much for the intro. how in the world are you? is all well at home? i'll be back in your area after the holidays. its my turn steve. my dad took ill. im home caring for him. its been years now. im on deployment to my home. sarahs fine. all my dreams are on hold until this family matter passes. otherwise, im fine. call me after the 7th. or email me. click on my name icon. it will bring you to my data automatically. again........WELCOME TO GB!

    steve i saw your pic. its looks like an attachment point for a sight assy. when not used, it appears it use to be covered with a flip lid. or........its a sling attachment point. look on the bbl for signs of a forward clamp attachment that was somewhere on the the bore. just my stab at it.
