Can't help you with anything on-line. The NRA "Firearms Assembly" Guide, ( 1994, ISBN 0-935998-76-4 ). Has IPB's and disassembly instructions for (2) Astra Revolvers, including the "960" your inquiring about.

These NRA Guides are paperbacks and are available on the used book market from www.bookfinder.com

    Jeff,
Is it really necessary to take it apart? I keep all of my guns very clean, and have never had a reason to take any of the revolvers apart. The barrel, cylinder and forcing cone are what need the most cleaning. Unless it's malfunctioning, I'd leave the internal mechanism alone.

Actually, I thought about cold blueing it, alot of the finish is gone but no pitting or rusting. Would it not be easier to disassemble to a point and reblue or leave it together?

    Thanks

If you plan to reblue it, and do it right, you will need to disassemble it. The disassebly books by J.B. Wood are a very good reference. It doesn't cover the 960 specifically, but there are instructions for Astra revolvers and I'm pretty sure it would work for your pistol. Take your time and good luck!
