Hello INCENDIARY and TRACERS are 2 different things Tracers burn on the way to the target an some say they burn while still in barrel I don't want to shoot them in any thing but a plinker and then clean good after shooting INCENDIARY burn on contact Both types might not set well with FIRE MARSHALL AND RANGE if that is were you are going to shoot them "WE throw members out of our shooting club/range for firing either type because of fire hazard. If you want to see and try other then run of the mill stuff join a club for class 3 weopons or the NSSA they shoot black powder cannons and mortors and are a hoot.

there are several companies making non-incendiary tracers that are safe for everday outdoor use. even .22 long rifle "safe" illuminating tracer ammo is available. we carry the .22`s here at the shop, and i have personaly used it at the local range, in my personal guns. its pretty neat to see the round flare up about 25 yds down range, and to be able to visibly folloe and track the ballistic arc as the projectile heads down range. its a real hoot to use it in concert with 2" and 3" spinners at 100 yds.

there are also illuminating "safe" tracers offered in various shotshell gauges.

using military spec / mil/surplus tracers and incendiary ammo can be hard on tthe gun, and cause fires. local law enforcement and fire dept. tend to frown on this.

    best regards, mike.

Do not shoot them at an indoor range, I saw the range in Virginia Beach when someone shot one. Range go Boom. All the unburned powder, lead, copper, etc, in the bullet trap ignited.

Incendiaries are *designed* to ignite flammable material upon impact. Beyond that obvious danger and the potentially erosive / corrosive effects on the bore of the firearm, also be aware that purchase or use of such loads is flat-out illegal in many jurisdictions, especially the various sections of Occupied Territory. In this case "neat" is best as a theory.
