    No experience with the .45, but have shot several .380s.

    Heavy, rough, trigger pull. Small sights. Grip panels too wide. Easy takedown. Some models don't have an external slide lock/release.

    Other than that, they WORK, and work reliably. It is a good gun for the money. If you can't afford a big name gun, it is a reasonable substitute.

    Mr. Nunn has summed it up perfectly. I have owned a couple and while they may not be the prettiest of weapons, mine functioned without a single failure.

    The Thunder Three-Eighty. $200 used, $280 new. A good deal.

    Never bought one, but I'd bet it would outshoot my PPK/S, from what I hear (and my gun's preferment of shooting low and left, confirmed by a top firearms instructor).
