17 rimfire ???? 22 mag
I see that Taurus has snub 2" 17m2 ....does anyone have one and if so 2 questions ? how does it compare to the 8 shot snub 22mag and what are those tips "color" mean? I have seen post where guys think that the 22mag from a 2" snub isnt all that! WRONG as I have one and have done some tests and its a very powerfull round and some of the new ammo is even better ! while its not made to go thru vests it does pack quite a punch !

Hey Billy, I recently got a snubby in 17HMR as a backup for my snubby in 22WMRF due to its' small size and light weight. Nice gun! I bobbed the hammer spur and removed the sights; now it's snag-free for presentation from a pocket.
The 8-shot 17 is a bit finicky about which brands of ammo it will digest reliably though, sometimes with CCI; it won't let me reload due to sticking cases in the chambers of the cylinder. I am going to smooth the walls of the chambers with some OOOO steel wool on a drill bit and see if that helps.
I don't think the color of the plastic has anything to do with anything but marketing.
