I just purchased a Bulgarian Makarov. It is missing the grip screw. I have the red checkered grips with the star. I see on Gun Parts several grip screws are listed can anyone tell me which one I need ? 0 -
Here's a good thread from packing.org, concerning Makarovs.

They are generally very popular because their good value for the money, and quite reliable, because they were originally designed as a Russian Military Handgun. ( Over Engineered ).
The cartridge they were originally designed for 9mm Makarov, AKA, 9 x 18, is not the same and not interchangeable with the more common 9mm Luger, AKA 9 x 19.

There are 2 9x18 catridges. The 9mm Makarov which fits the Makarov pistol, uses a .364" diameter bullet. There is also a 9x18 Ultra that uses a .355" diameter bullet. Walther use to chamber a pistol in 9mm Ultra. 0 -
www.makarov.com , has everything you need for a makarov. 0 -
