Gun finish questions Duracoat vs Gun-Kote

I ordered both the above from Brownell's as well as some cleaner etc, anyhow my question is can I use the Duracoat on internal parts? It says I can use the Gun-kote but I am not sure about the Duracoat. I want a stainless/silver/chrome colored AR-15 complete bolt carrier, and instead of spending another 75 bucks I figured maybe I could put a finish on it myself.
I assume the best way is to disassemble the bolt carrier and then spray each part I want sprayed individually, however since the gunkote is like .004 of an inch thick could I just spray it on without taking the whole bolt carrier apart?
Forgive me if I'm going about this all wrong, this is my first time at this stuff..
